UMC Honored: Hope for the Children Award

When KnowledgePoints partnered with Grace Community United Methodist Church in Chester to form an educational alliance, the goal was to help struggling students in the community.  This special partnership garnered the attention of the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference of the Methodist Church, when the Conference honored the alliance with its prestigious Hope for the Children Award.
Partnering with local churches is a natural fit with KnowledgePoints, and the partnership with Grace Community UMC has been very rewarding.  The company hopes to duplicate this partnership at its other learning centers in Delaware and Chester County as well.

First Annual Family Fun Before the Fourth Spelling Bee

In an effort to keep kids engaged in learning throughout the summer, Mequon KnowledgePoints held the First Annual Family Fun Before the Fourth Spelling Bee on June 28th, 2008. The Spelling Bee was conducted in a format similar to the Scripps National Spelling Bee on the stage during the Family Fun Before the Fourth Festivities.

Spencer Heth, Thiensville, won the 1st grade through 3rd grade group.  Lauren Bartlett, Mequon, won the 4th grade through 8th grade group.

The event was hosted by Tim Van Vooren of Fox 6 News.
