Diane H. Caruso
Director of Education Services

Diane H. Caruso is the Director of Education Services for KnowledgePoints of Land O’ Lakes. She joined the organization after a very successful tenure with Tampa Day School and its parent company, AEG, where most recently she served as the Assistant Principal and Interim Head of School for Lexis Preparatory in Scottsdale, Arizona.
A resident of the Tampa Bay area for more than 30 years, Diane attended school locally, earning a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida. Over the past 26 years, she has taught all levels of Preschool, Elementary and Middle School curriculum. Diane possesses a wealth of experience working with many different types of students, ranging from those with special needs to gifted and talented students. She has also received extensive training in how to work with students who learn differently as well as those students who require Executive Function instruction.
Diane has a passion for educating children and helping them find success. She has been consistently recognized for her outstanding performance throughout her career and she is a founding Board Member of the Children’s Museum of Tampa.
Monica and Rocky Contreras
Rocky Contreras, Owner. Rocky Contreras has enjoyed a successful business career primarily spent teaching, training and leading others. A winner of the “World Class Service Award” for superlative service and support, Rocky looks forward to providing Land O’Lakes families with an outstanding experience as they help their children succeed.
Mr. Contreras is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Rollins College, where he played varsity baseball, was a GTE Academic All-American, and won the Gunderlyke Scholarship.
Monica Contreras has been teaching elementary education for 11 years. She was Teacher of the Year at Pembroke Pines Charter School in 2000 and Co-Chair of the Sunshine Committee. She received the Most Influential Teacher Award at Dodson Elementary in Nashville, TN, and served as the Special Events Director for Western School in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
For the past four years, Ms. Contreras has been teaching at highly regarded McKitrick Elementary School in nearby Lutz. McKitrick Elementary is a recipient of both the “5-Star” and “Golden School” Awards, and has received an “A” rating for the past five years. Ms. Contreras is ESOL Certified and currently teaches second grade, where she serves as Textbook Chairman. She is also a member of the Van Dyke Day School Advisory Board.
