Lora Malvani, M.Ed.
Director of Learning

Lora Malvani, the Director of Learning at Oak Park KnowledgePoints, has more than 20 years experience in supplemental education. She has a Masters Degree in Education, with an emphasis in Development, Learning, and Instruction. She has a passion for helping students discover the pleasure and satisfaction to be found in learning.

Prior to joining the KnowledgePoints team, Lora was a Center Director with Sylvan Learning Centers. Lora also spent many years with The Princeton Review, a standardized test preparation company that helped change the educational community’s understanding of standardized tests. During those years, Lora educated not only parents and students, but also teachers, counselors, and school district personnel. She has organized and conducted many free seminars for parents and teachers on topics ranging from testing for college admissions to motivating students.

In 2008, Lora achieved a life-long dream and bought the Oak Park KnowledgePoints Learning Center. She loves working with students and the educators who serve them. As the mother of a 15 year old son, she has a parental perspective too. She served as a Cub Scout leader and volunteered in her son’s school classrooms. She knows from personal experience the concerns and goals of parents who want the best for their children.
